I have for sale a very rare, misnamed Ty Beanie Baby. This is the Radar beanie baby with a "Radar" tush tag and a "Stinky" swing tag. My father collected many Beanie Babies for my mother and I before he passed away in 2000. We have held onto these beanies for as long as we can for sentimental reasons, but now must sell them.  This Radar beanie has the following rare attributes:  1) The swing tag is for STINKY, not RADAR.   The swing tag and tush tag do not match on this beanie baby. The poem and style number all refer to Stinky but the tag is attached to the Radar beanie. The tush tag is for Radar. This is a very rare error that does not frequently occur. This is a truly unique beanie for any collection.  2) The swing tag includes the style number and a numerical date of birth.
Many of the beanie babies only have a swing tag format that does not include the style number. The font on the left panel of the swing tag is bolded, and different parts of the right side panel are bolded as well, which is a mistake. Not many beanie baby tags are printed in this format, which makes this Radar a truly unique beanie.  3) There is NO mass production stamp inside the Tush Tag of this Radar. 4) P.V.C. Pellets     Before mass production of these Beanies were made, there was no red numbered stamp inside the Tush Tag. After mass production started, a red stamp was included inside the Tush Tag. That means that this Beanie Baby was not mass produced. While red stamped, mass production Beanie Babies were most often filled with P.E. pellets, the first edition beanie babies have P.V.C. pellets. This beanie has P.V.C pellets and no stamp, which means it was not mass produced. This Radar is very rare.  5) The swing tag includes the "Waterlooville, Hants" Location.6) The swing tag includes the "Deutschland/Nurnberg" location.     These locations are rare and collectible, especially when seen together. Swing Tag Errors:7) On the left panel, in the portion of text that denotes the
Oakbrook” location, there is no comma after “Oakbrook”. 8) On the left panel, it reads "Ty UK Ltd." instead of "Ty Europe Ltd.".9) On the left panel, there is no "UK" after "P08 8HH".10) On the right panel,
style" is not capitalized when it should be.11) On the right panel, there is an extra space after “DATE OF BIRTH” and before the colon.12) On the right panel, in the second line of the poem, "perfume" is not capitalized. Tush Tag Errors:13) There is a missing comma after Oakbrook.14) There is a missing period after "U.S.A".15) There is a missing period after "P.V.C".16) On the tush tag, there is no red star by the Ty heart. This Radar beanie is in mint condition, like the day it was made. However, the swing tag is not in the best shape. It is ripped down the crease almost completely, but the top of the swing tag is completely in tact where the holes that attach it to the red plastic tag are. I am the original owner of this beanie. It has no stains or odor and is stored in a smoke-free and climate-controlled environment.
